Total Hardware Inc.

Total Hardware Inc. is a commercial door, frame and hardware distributor owned by Lysbeth and Andrew Geith. Andrew worked in the industry for 25 years before he made the decision to start his own business with his wife. They decided to locate Total Hardware Inc. in Newport News four years ago because of its favorable small business climate, convenient access to interstate highways and centralized location to the region. Opened initially with five employees, the business has expanded to 20 employees as production demands increased. Total Hardware Inc. received the “Peninsula Small Business of the Year” designation for 2019 from the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce.

At its facility at 500 Muller Lane, the staff of Total Hardware assembles the various components that go into a door installation. This includes the preparations of the door designs and measurements from architect’s plans, assembling the five components of the door, then pulling it together and “palletizing the parts” and finally transporting them directly to the job site for installation. The company also has the capability to do custom door creation jobs.
