A Hub for Lash Artists & Luxury Aesthetics

SoLash’d is an eyelash salon in Newport News providing luxurious and high-end lash extensions and other lash aesthetics to clients. The business, located at 720 Thimble Shoals Boulevard, Suite 119, is owned and operated by Hampton native Kaitlyn Rapoza and serves as one of the few lash studios in the region.

Rapoza, a licensed cosmetologist, spent time managing a salon and spa in Maryland and when the spa’s eyelash artist moved away, Kaitlyn decided to become a certified lash artist. It was during this time that she fell in love with eyelash artistry and developed a deep passion for the industry.

After moving back to the Hampton Roads area and noticing that there were not many lash-specific businesses in the region, Rapoza set out to create a hub for lash artists. She opened the business in 2019 with a small one-room studio. Her customer base grew quickly and in March of 2020, she moved into a more spacious studio on Loftis Boulevard. Following continued growth and success, the business recently moved to a much larger location on Thimble Shoals Boulevard.

SoLash’d has seven lash artists that are trained estheticians and cosmetologists. They offer a selection of lashes including styles such as classic, hybrid, volume, and mega volume. In addition to lash services, the business also offers lash training, a one-on-one course teaching individuals the fundamentals of lash artistry. SoLash’d looks forward to continuing its mission of providing quality services to its clients and investing in the growth and development of the business in Newport News.
