Shockwave Strength and Performance is a 34,000 square-foot sports training facility located at 315 Chatham Drive. The doors opened for business on October 29 and the public is invited to their Grand Opening on November 20 at 4:00 p.m.
Shockwave Strength and Performance’s mission is to provide a well-designed, collaborative training facility for athletes of all ages, as well as offer general fitness memberships. Athletic programming begins at age five with fundamental and functional motor skill development. Programs are also offered for professional and Olympic athletes and all ages in between. Shockwave features state-of-the-art equipment, biomechanics analysis software, and over 2,500 square-feet of premium indoor training turf for multi-purpose athletic use.
Shockwave’s three pillars are Athletic Programming, Community Outreach, and Mentorship and Scholarships. In addition to athletic performance, Shockwave strives to encourage young men and women to be model and productive citizens as student-athletes. Shockwave will offer workshops and seminars for youth, including tutoring, college prep, basic life skills, etiquette, financial literacy, and professional clinics, along with mentorship opportunities. Shockwave Strength and Performance will also be heavily involved with the community, including volunteer outreach.
