May 3, 2007Virginia was named as the nation’s most business-friendly state in 2007 by Pollina Corporate Real Estate, Inc. in its Top Ten Pro-Business States: America’s Economy in the 21st Century. Pollina is a Chicago-based corporate relocation consultant. Factors evaluated by Pollina included taxes, human resources, labor climate, energy costs, infrastructure spending, workers compensation legislation and jobs lost or gained. Virginia is consistently ranked among the top business-friendly states in this survey, ranked number one in 2003 and number two in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
