Menchville Marina Receives More Funding for Enhancements

The City of Newport News was awarded $250,000 from the FY21 Port Host Communities Revitalization Fund. These funds, in addition to those previously awarded from the program, will support improvements at Menchville Marina, including lighting, new docks and shoreline stabilization. Additionally, the funds will be used to install restroom facilities, which will also support the trail system at Riverview Farm Park. These improvements will further improve the City’s asset and complement the private investments of James River Holdings, all while enhancing the Marina experience for the watermen using the facility.
