Moose Billiard Service is a pool and billiard supply store that specializes in game room entertainment. Owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo Moose and Rachel Wilkins, the store is located in Warwick Center, 10854 Warwick Boulevard.
Raised in a military family, Moose had his first encounter with the game of pool as a youngster playing with his friends on Langley Air Force Base. Fast forward years later, he met his wife Rachel in Indiana and they moved to Newport News. Previously, Rachel worked as a second-grade teacher and Moose Worked in distribution for major retailers. They decided to transition careers and both started working in the billiards industry. As time went on, they developed a passion for the work and decided to launch their own business. On May 1 this year, they opened the doors to their showroom.
Moose Billiard Service sells new and refurbished pool tables featuring brands such as Olhausen, Gandy, American Heritage, and American Machine and Foundry (AMF). They also offer a wide range of accessories including pool cues, storage racks, ball sets, light racks, bar furniture, shuffleboard, and ping pong tables.
The business also offers pool table relocation and repair services such as recovering, and rail rubber and pocket replacement, Their customers extend from Washington, D.C., to North Carolina and include private residences, military bases, apartment complexes, schools, restaurants/bars, and recreation centers.
In the future, Moose Billiard Service plans to add pool lessons and various masterclass seminars to help individuals learn the basics, or master their pool skills.
