Mind over Money is a financial services firm that focuses on helping individuals manage money better and teaches how to create a secure and free financial future. Owned and operated by Newport News native Tremaine Wills, the firm is located at 2506 Jefferson Ave., Ste. 114.
Tremaine began her career at a major financial corporation, where she gained valuable insight into industry processes and metrics. However, she felt limited by the lack of time available for developing genuine client relationships. In 2014, Ms. Wills decided to step out and slowly start building her own financial services firm that would be relationship based and committed to each client’s goals. During the early stages of building her business, she also taught high school math for several years, which deepened her passion for education. Her teaching experience ultimately influenced her approach to business, as she embraced the role of an educator, guiding clients to make informed financial decisions.
In 2019, Ms. Wills added investment advisory management services to include financial planning, portfolio management, and insurance services to include life, health, disability, and annuities. After working with a number of businesses during the global pandemic, Mind over Money continued its growth and added bookkeeping, accounting, and tax services to its offerings.
