Little Boat Harbor Market

Little Boat Harbor Market, a family owned and operated seafood market, opened last week in the Southeast Community. The market is conveniently located in Seafood Industrial Park at 801 Jefferson Avenue. With seasonal varieties from the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean arriving daily, the market is able to offer fresh-off-the-boat seafood. Owner Jim Casey has leased space at Seafood Industrial Park since the early 1990s and operates one of the remaining crab picking facilities in Virginia. Casey bought the building at 801 Jefferson Avenue, which was formerly a market, and is now again offering wholesome quality, reasonably priced seafood.

The market offers local fresh cut fish, oysters, scallops, shrimp, and crabs. Imported products and regional favorites such as crayfish, alligator, and andouille sausage are also available at the market. Purchases of shrimp or crabs can be steamed at no additional charge. The market accepts cash, charge, and EBT and is open 11 AM – 6 PM Tuesday through Thursday and 10 AM – 6 PM Friday and Saturday.
