After gaining experience working in Illinois, Bowers returned to the region and began working in the military surplus industry.
In 2017, she opened her first store, and by 2019, she relocated the business to its current Newport News location.
G.I. Jane’s serves a wide range of customers, including military personnel, first responders, law enforcement, and the general public. The store offers an extensive selection of products, from classic military surplus to modern tactical gear.
