Get Ready to Get Messy!
At Summer Arts Camp at The Makerspace, we believe the best creativity happens when you’re not afraid to get a little messy! Here’s what you need to know:
Dress for Fun:
- Expect to Get Messy: Whether you’re working with clay, paint, dye, or wood, you’ll be doing lots of hands-on activities. Embrace the mess and the creative process!
- Comfortable Clothes: Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting stained or dirty. Comfortable, old clothes are perfect for our fun and sometimes messy projects.
- Prepare for Wet Activities: Some of our activities involve water, like tie-dye and bleach art. Bring an extra set of clothes or a smock if you want to stay dry after these sessions.
- Closed-Toe Shoes: For safety reasons, especially in the woodshop and when working with heavy materials, closed-toe shoes are a must.
- Hair and Accessories: Long hair should be tied back, and avoid wearing any accessories that could get caught or damaged.
