The key components to writing an effective capabilities statement will be addressed and will consist of your core competencies, past performance, differentiators, company data and pertinent codes.

A Capability Statement is important because it effectively communicates a company’s strengths, expertise, and qualifications. It plays a vital role in establishing credibility, generating business opportunities, and supporting marketing and procurement efforts.

• Secure required registrations (SAM, WOSB/EDWOSB, 8(a), HUBzone, SDVOSB, CVE, etc.)

About Ms. Cecelia Cotton:
Retired from Civil Service after 31 years, Ms. Cecelia Cotton served as a Contracting Specialist, Procurement Analyst, and OSDBU for the Army before joining the Virginia APEX Accelerator as a Procurement Counselor. She has an A.A. in Public Administration, B.A. in Human Resources Management, and a Graduate Degree in Religious Studies. She is Level III DAWIA certified contracting professional.
