Hilton Village is a historic community designed as an English village and recognized as a pioneering development in urban planning. Originally built to house and support World War I shipyard workers. Today Hilton Village is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features homes and quaint, locally-owned shops, boutiques and services.
Much of it's charm remains as it did when it was first planned and built in 1918 –19. Generations have lived, worked and loved in this timeless place. Hilton Village Main Street is a designated program of Historic Hilton Village, Inc., a 501c3, and part of the Main Street America program. Through this program, they are able to further the mission to preserve Hilton Village's historic importance and timeless pace while encouraging a thriving economic future and a strong sense of community.
