Excitement Surrounds a New Vision
The City of Newport News is moving forward with a new urban design vision for Downtown. Building on the unique character of the area, the vision includes a mixed-use urban village and bicycle hub. Plans expand through waterfront development where a public pier attraction will provide an outdoor space for the arts, public celebrations and water-based recreation.
