October 1, 2007Alion Science and Technology’s Newport News office has developed an on-line Homeland Security certification program in cooperation with Hampton University (which was recently ranked as the #3 HBCU (Historically Black College and University) in the nation. Alion brings its considerable expertise in Modeling and Simulation and distance learning to deliver a program that includes homeland security fundamentals, anti- and counter-terrorism strategic objectives and threat assessment/risk management studies. The program is aimed at working professionals, including first responders, security personnel, city managers, transportation officials and emergency planners. Alion’s Hampton Roads office is located in City Center at Oyster Point in Newport News.
