ACR Technical Services Inc. is a locally owned company that provides full-service calibration and environmental chamber services. It has been in business for over 30 years and is located at 710 Industrial Park Drive in Newport News.
ACR specializes in calibration services, that detect the inaccuracy and uncertainty of a measuring instrument or piece of equipment. The business provides calibration for electronics, temperature, pressure, air flow, humidity, torque, mass force, and other equipment. The business has a chamber division that offers test chamber sales, repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance.
ACR also has a full-service calibration laboratory designed to meet customers’ metrology requirements. The laboratory is A2LA Accredited along with ISO/IEC 17025, which creates the highest calibration standards in the industry.
The company has a vast customer base that includes industries such as biomedical, aviation, Department of Defense, marine, energy, and manufacturing. It has a workforce composed of highly skilled engineers and military-trained calibration technicians that perform the work at ACR but also in the field, as part of its on-site services.
ACR Founder and President Bob Rowe started his career working for companies that repaired and manufactured environmental chambers. In 1993, he started ACR as a home-based business and, in 1999, he made Newport News the headquarters for the company.
