Team Henry Enterprises

In 2006, Newport News native Devon Henry purchased the Silty Lady, a small construction business that was located in Portsmouth. The company was appropriately renamed Team Henry Enterprises, LLC and moved to Copeland Industrial Park in Newport News. Since then, Team Henry has grown into a successful contracting company specializing in construction management, environmental, marine and emergency response services.

Team Henry Enterprises works on both government and private-sector contracts, managing road construction, mitigating wetlands, and establishing emergency shelters for FEMA. Projects include work with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Transportation Security Administration, United States Department of Transportation, and the Navy.

Team Henry has won numerous awards for its outstanding work. Mr. Henry has been the recipient of the SBA Small Business Person of the Year Award and honored as a top government contractor by American Express. Team Henry has also been recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of its fastest growing privately held companies. In 2015, Team Henry Enterprises ranked No. 15 in Fortune’s Inner City 100 list in recognition of the company’s 647% increase in growth over the span of 5 years, and was listed as a National Minority Supplier Development Council 2016 Supplier of the Year.
